Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to fundraise for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his workers both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a significant number of families who are struggling with this disease, and that means there’s a serious need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, reiterated Schneider’s thoughts. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.”
