Service Experts Donates Over 300 Pounds of Food to Minnie's Food Pantry

The Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning Corporate Office in Plano, TX was thrilled to give more than 320 pounds of food to Minnie’s Food Pantry, also located in Plano.

“Last fall, I had the opportunity to get a group of people to volunteer at Minnie’s and it was an incredible experience,” said Amanda Wilson, Operations Specialist for Service Experts. “They go above and beyond providing food – they are an essential part of this community.”

Cheryl Jackson began Minnie’s Food Pantry as a way to honor her mother, Minnie Hawthorne-Ewing D.D., who spent many of her childhood years wondering if and where she would obtain her next meal. Not only does Minnie’s provide free healthy meals to families in need, they also hold classes to teach families how to incorporate the food they get to cook nourishing, long-lasting meals. They also offer resume support along with budgeting and job classes to help families get back on their feet.

Since the families receive approximately 50 pounds of food to get them through the month, Service Experts was able to feed six families for the month.

“Each member of the team was so ecstatic that we had this food drive for Minnie’s Food Pantry, and they even took us around their amazing facility,” Wilson said.
